What Should We Do This Weekend? Columbus, Ohio, September 3-5, 2021 Labor Day Weekend

Local farms are gearing up for Fall Festivals and activities! Start your planning by checking out these posts:

1. Millersport Sweet Corn Festival

This annual festival takes place September 1-4 at Historic Lions Park and includes concerts, rides, games, animals, tractor pulls, entertainment, food and more! Admission is free, parking is $10/vehicle.

2. Greek Festival

The annual Greek Festival takes place at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Columbus. Experience Greek cultures through food, dancing, performances, vendors and more! Your admission is good for the whole weekend!

3. Labor Day Family Value Weekend at Young’s Jersey Dairy

Friday through Monday you can purchase an unlimited Family Value wristband at Young’s Jersey Dairy which includes access to mini golf, batting cages, driving range, Cowvin’s Fast Slide, Cowvin’s Kiddie Corral and much more! Wristband is good for the entire day!

4. 2021 Obetz Zucchinifest

This annual festival takes place Friday through Monday and includes a parade, car show, concerts, special performances, food, rides and more!

5. Uptown Friday Nights in Uptown Westerville

Uptown Friday Nights take place from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM in Uptown Westerville. There will be live music, artist and many businesses stay open late!

6. Moonlight Movies at Polaris Fashion Place

Watch the movie Raya and the Last Dragon on Friday in the Polaris Fashion Place parking lot! Gates open at 7:00 PM, movie starts at 8:00 PM. Registration is required.

7. Cruise-In at the Alley at Ten Pin Alley

Check out some cool cars at this car show at Ten Pin Alley on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

8. Seasonal Krafts on Saturday at Dublin Toy Emporium

Make a DIY Dreamcatcher plus go on a star hunt within the store to win a prize. Reservations required for a time slot on Saturday between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

9. Native Bees at Battelle Darby Nature Center

Take a short walk to look for bees and learn how to protect pollinators! Meet at the Nature Center at 11:00 AM on Saturday.

10. Columbus Caribbean Festival at Delaware County Fairgrounds

Expereince Caribbean culture through live music, dancing, food, vendors and more. Camping accommodations are also available! The festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday.

11. Butterfly Bonanza Weekend at Blendon Woods Metro Park

Saturday through Monday at Blendon Woods Metro Park there will be games, crafts, activities, live butterflies, a puppet show and more to celebrate Butterflies!

12. Harvest Saturday at Lawrence Orchards

The first Harvest Saturday of the season will include food trucks and antique cars! Plus you can pick your own apples! Hours will be 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Saturday.

13. Hometown Day in Canal Winchester

This year’s Labor Day festival will take place on Saturday from 10:30 AM – 10:00 PM and includes live music, food, children’s activities, a parade, ice cream social and more!

14. Family Fun Day at Columbus Commons

This free family fun day on Saturday from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM includes live performances, carousel rides, arts and crafts and more free activities! A showing of The Lion King will start around 7:15 PM.

15. ‘We The Peaceful’ Festival at Franklin Park Conservatory

On Saturday from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM you can participate in a community art project, enjoy live music, explore Franklin Park Conservatory and enjoy food trucks. This event is free to attend and reservations are not required.

16. Family Creeking at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Search for bugs, fish and crawdads in Big Darby Creek. Meet at the Ranger Station and wear closed-toe shoes! Sunday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park.

17. Labor Day Family Workout

Join FIT4MOM UA + Hilliard for a family work out on Labor Day at 9:30 AM at Sunny 95 Park. Your first class is always free! Sign up online.

18. Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival

Celebrate Labor Day with hands-on art activities, live music, fine art and craft vendors, fitness classes, food trucks and more! Hours are Monday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Northam Park in Upper Arlington.

19. UNICORN Rides, Carriage Rides, Petting Zoo, Train Rides, Bounce House at Kuhlwein’s Farm Market

Choose from Unicorn Rides, pony rides, carriage or train rides on Monday from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. There will also be a petting zoo. No reservations required.

20. Canoe and Kayak the Lake at Prairie Oaks Metro Park

Canoe or Kayak on the lake at Prairie Oaks Metro Park. Canoes are for all ages, minimum of one adult per canoe. Kayaks are for ages 10 and up. Life jackets are provided. This is a free event on Monday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
