Oh pumpkin farms! I had never even heard of a "fall festival" until I moved to Columbus! Now our fall weekends are filled with visits to the epitomy of fall: the pumpkin farm.
Local farms offer pick your own pumpkins, hayrides, bon fires, zip lines, straw mazes, corn bins, and more! There are activities for every age and stage!

When the corn fields reach the end of their season, they serve another purpose: the corn maze!

Corn mazes often have trivia games or scavenger hunts and other activities inside! This is one of the more active fall activites for familes - we usually end up quite lost! LOL! Enjoy!
We LOVE the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks! We are so lucky to have these amazing parks surrounding the city.
I think fall is the BEST time to go hiking in the parks! The weather is perfect for exploring nature and seeing the changing leaves. Plus you won't get as hot and sweaty!

Farmers Markets can go on all year round in Central Ohio, but fall is harvest season and this is when the bounty is plentiful!
One of the best fall activites is hitting up a local farmers market for ripe tomatoes, sweet corn, freshly picked beans and, of course, pumpkins, gourds and fall flowers!
