1. Tots on Trails at Blacklick Woods Nature Center

Take a half mile, slow paced hike with your toddler to discover nature at Blacklick Woods Metro Park on Friday at 10:00 AM.

2. Memorial Day Weekend at Young’s Jersey Dairy

Memorial Day Weekend at Young’s Jersey Dairy will feature carnival rides! Hours are Thursday and Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Saturday: 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM and Sunday and Monday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

3. Friday Night Street Fair at Global Gallery

This street fair will feature music from Whetstone Jazz Band, food trucks, vendors, games and more on Friday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

4. The Big Summer Kickoff at John Bishop Memorial Park

This event in Whitehall includes live music (including The Shazzbots), chalk art, games, a touch-a-truck event and more! The event takes place from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday.

5. Visit with Farm Animals at Westerville Public Library

Touch and learn about farm animals at this event by Bring the Farm to You at Westerville Public Library on Friday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. It will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

6. One Dublin Kid Zone at The Dublin Market

Head to the Dublin Market for emergency vehicles, an activity station and the chance to meet firefighters and police officers. This event takes place during the farmers market on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

7. Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival

This annual ice cream festival features live music, vendors, pony rides, antique tractors, a motorcycle show, an ice cream eating contest, games, a magic show, a parade, food and more! The festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

8. Asian Festival at Franklin Park

The Asian Festival takes place in Franklin Park on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Highlights include live music and dance performances spotlighting Asian culture, martial arts, fashion shows, a drum team and more!

9. Grandview Heights Memorial Parade

The Memorial Parade takes place on Saturday at 10:00 AM and goes along First Ave. in Grandview.

10. Memorial Day Weekend Events at National Veterans Memorial and Museum

No fees will be charged to visit the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on Memorial Day (Monday). The weekend also includes special events like a CrossFit workout, a motorcycle ride, a Memorial Day Walk, Ruck & Roll 5K, a Gold Star Family Candlelight Vigil and a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony. 11. Jeni’s Strawberry Jam at Land-Grant

Celebrate the Ohio strawberry season at Land-Grant Brewing! This family-friendly event features live music, kid friendly activities from local organizations, food and drink, vendors, and the mascot, Strawberry Jammie! This event takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

12. Southwest Franklin County Historical Society Open House

On the fourth Saturday of each month, May through September, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM you can tour the Orders Road Schoolhouse and other historical buildings such as log cabins, a blacksmith shop and a train depot.

13. Free Family Fun Day & Movie Night at Columbus Commons

Free Family Fun Day on Saturday at Columbus Commons includes games, free carousel rides, inflatables, face painting, music, crafts, food trucks, sweet treats for purchase and more! A sensory friendly hour will take place at 3:00 PM. The main event begins at 4:00 PM and will go until 8:00 PM when the outdoor movie will begin. Moana will be shown on a large screen in the park!

14. Worthington Memorial Day Parade

The Worthington Memorial Day Parade will begin on Monday at 10:00 AM on High St. and 161. At the end of the parade, there will be a ceremony at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

15. Memorial Day Festivities At The Wagnalls Memorial Library

Memorial Day in Lithopolis includes a parade, a car show, food trucks, live music, a memorial service, vendors at Wagnalls Library and an open house at the Bloom Top Firehouse. The parade begins at 10:00 AM on Monday.

16. Dublin Military Veterans Memorial Day Ceremony

Memorial Day events in Dublin begin with a procession through Historic Dublin, a wreath-throwing ceremony, a ceremony at Dublin Cemetery and a community picnic at Monterey Park. The procession begins at 11:00 AM on Monday and all other events follow.

17. S’more of Summer at Blendon Woods Nature Center

Learn about Ohio wildlife and enjoy a campfire treat at Blendon Woods Metro Park on Monday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

18. Memorial Day Skates at Skate Zone 71

There are three skating sessions at Skate Zone 71 on Memorial Day beginning at 12:00 PM. Monday Skate & Play includes admission, 20 game credits and 1 game of laser tag for $18.

19. Meet the Turtles at Sharon Woods Metro Park

Stop by the Naturalist Office between 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Monday to visit with a turtle at Sharon Woods Metro Park!

20. Open House Creeking at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Explore Big Darby Creek and look for critters with naturalists from Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park. Enter at the Cedar Ridge Area any time between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Monday. Dress to get wet!

21. Memorial Day Food Truck Festival and Jazz in the Park

Jazz in the Park takes place at Havenwood Park in Bexley and features Whirlybirds. There will be a food truck festival at this event and it begins at 5:00 PM on Monday. The concert begins at 5:30 PM.

22. Memorial Day Concert on the Green in Granville

A Memorial Day concert will take place on Monday at Bryn Du Mansion in Granville. The concert will start at 6:30 PM. Bring your own chair or blanket.
