1. Pickaway Co Fair

Pickaway County Fair takes place June 17-24 and this weekend includes truck pulls and a demolition derby! See the link for all activities.

2. Free Library Card Days at National Veterans Memorial and Museum

From June 22-24 you can get free admission to National Veterans Memorial and Museum when you show your Columbus Metropolitan Library library card! There will also be a Female Leadership Scavenger Hunt, coloring pages and the opportunity to write thank you letters to veterans. The museum is open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day this weekend.

3. Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons

Every Friday this Summer from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM enjoy activities for kids at Columbus Commons! There will be free carousel rides, inflatables, face painting, balloon twisting and a theme each week. This week’s theme is Imagination!

4. COMFEST 2023 in Goodale Park

This community focused festival takes place Friday through Sunday in Goodale Park and features live music, live art, a street fair, food trucks, a Peace & Healing Pavilion, workshops, a kids art area, and more!

5. Popcorn Pops at Columbus Commons

This kid-friendly concert by Columbus Symphony will feature a collaboration with Momentum and other youth organizations. There will be activities and games before the concert including balloon animals face painting, food trucks and more. The activities begin at 5:30 PM on Friday. Following the concert, there is a free movie (see below).

6. FREE Movie Night: The Lion King at Columbus Commons

Watch the movie The Lion King on a huge screen at Columbus Commons. Bring a blanket or chair! The movie begins after the Popcorn Pops event so gates will open at 8:00 PM on Friday for those who are not attending Popcorn Pops. The outdoor movie is a free event!

7. Movie Night in Topiary Park

On Friday night at 9:15 PM you can watch Ferris Bueller’s Day off in Topiary Park. This movie is free and there will be food trucks on site.

8. Drive-In Movie- “Lifemark”

This drive in movie features the movie LIFEMARK and includes free popcorn and water plus a food truck for purchases. The movie begins at 9:30 PM on Friday.

9. Touch-a-Truck at the Market at Bridge Park

During the Market at Bridgepark there will be vehicles to check out plus activity stations for kids! This farmers market takes place on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

10. Honey Harvest at Stratford Ecological Center

This event is for anyone ages 10 and up who would like to learn to collect and extract honey from a beehive at Stratford Ecological Center! All supplies are included and you will take home an 8 oz jar of honey. Spaces are limited and tickets are available online. This event takes place on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

11. Hilltop Bean Dinner Festival

The annual Bean Dinner Festival includes live music, food, arts and crafts vendors and an antique car show! This festival commemorates the role Westgate Park played during the Civil War. The festival takes place on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and there will also be yard sales in the surrounding neighborhood of Westgate.

12. CAPA Free Cartoon Capers with your Library Card

Get into the CAPA Summer Movie Series Cartoon Capers for free with your Columbus Metropolitan Library library card! The cartoons begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday.

13. Kids Series at Grandview Theater & Drafthouse

Grandview Theater and Drafthouse is offering free admission for kids to movies on Saturdays and Wednesdays! This Saturday’s movie is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and it will be shown at 10:30 AM.

14. The Gravity Mural Fest

The Gravity Mural Fest takes place on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM and includes a flea market, two live stages, a Wellness Fair, food drink, poetry readings, and more! This is a free event.

15. Pollinator Palooza

This free event takes place at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company Community Garden Campus at Franklin Park Conservatory from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Saturday. Celebrate pollinators with activities, crafts, games, tours of the garden, food demonstrations, plant sales, live animals, live music and food trucks!

16. Kids Only Farmers Market at Kuhlwein’s Farm Market

The 3rd Kids Only Farmers Market takes place on Saturday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Kuhlwein’s Farm Market in Hilliard. There are 50 kid vendors registered to sell their creations and services. All are welcome to shop! In addition to shopping, there will be live music from School Of Rock Dublin, pony rides from Horse-N-Round Fun ($6), and a fire truck from 12:30-1:30.

17. Columbus Eagles FC vs. FC Dayton at Historic Crew Stadium

Watch the Columbus Eagles FC (Columbus’ Women’s Soccer team) take on FC Dayton at Historic Crew Stadium on Sunday at 2:00 PM.

18. Sundays in the Park at Topiary Park

Sundays in Topiary Park include food trucks, live music and games! This event starts at 1:00 PM on Sunday.

19. Summer Music Series in Historic Dublin

Enjoy live music in Historic Dublin on Saturday from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

20. Music in the Garden: DJ Leek in Olde Towne East Community Gardens

On Sunday at 6:00 PM, enjoy a free concert in the Community Garden on Oak Street.

21. Sounds of Summer Concert Series in Westerville

This free concert takes place at the Alum Creek North Park Amphitheater at 6:30 PM on Sunday. This week’s artist is Nick Netherton Band.

22. Standing Together Against Racism: Kids’ At-home Activities with Seeds of Caring

Help children explore systemic racism and its impact on incarceration through an age-appropriate learning activity from Seeds of Caring and Pint Size Protesters. Kids 6-12 will create messages of support and pack hygiene kits for clients of Central Ohio Restored Citizens’ Collaborative. Then use our letter templates and send to government representatives to Stand Together Against Racism! This project is available through July 16.
