What Should We Do This Weekend? Columbus, Ohio, July 17-19, 2020

Looking for something to do with the kids this Weekend? Try out one of these 10 Columbus and Ohiobased events and activities with your family this weekend!

Check out this list of events for the upcoming weekend and if you need even more ideas make sure to check out:

1. KidX Summer Series at Polaris Fashion Place

This kid-friendly event takes place outside at the Lifestyle Center Fountain from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM on Fridays. This year the event will be a completely DRIVE-THRU event that includes music, crafts, characters and free ice cream! This week’s theme is Minions.

2. Free Friday Flicks in the Park

Register online to watch Honey, I Shrunk the Kids in your car in the parking lot of the Community Center in Hilliard!

3. Gahanna Summer Drive-In Series

Head to Headley Park on Friday nights for drive-in concerts and movies! This Friday night they will be showing Ghostbusters at 9:00 PM. Register in advance if you want to attend!

4. Parking Lot Cinema at Marcus Theatre Pickerington 

For seven days a week, Marcus Cinema Pickerington will be offering drive-in movies on the north side of their building. You can listen to the audio through your radio. Tickets and concessions are available in advance online. The food will be in a designated pick up area. Cash purchases will not be an option on site. Movies this weekend are Beauty and the Beast and Iron Man.

5. Family Fun Night at AR Workshop Grove City

Register in advance to make a project as a family on Friday at 7:00 PM. Only 10 spots are available.

6. Open Barn Days at Sunrise Sanctuary

Visit the animals that live at Sunrise Sanctuary on a self guided tour. The Sanctuary will be open on Saturday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Adults are $10 and Youth are $5. Kids 3 and under are free. Purchase your tickets in advance as they are limited.

7. Brain Freeze Skate Party at Skate Zone 71

From 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM Receive a free Icee with a child’s paid admission!

8. Powell’s Street Market

Shop vendors, eat from food trucks and enjoy activities for the whole family at this outdoor market on Sunday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

9. Community Drive In Movie Night at The Naz

Watch a Drive-In Movie each Sunday night at The Naz Church at 6:30 PM. This weekend’s movie is Toy Story 4.

10. Visit the Paul Busse Garden Railway at Franklin Park Conservatory 

Visit this outdoor railroad on display in the Grand Mallway! The display is made from items found in nature, miniature garden, waterfalls and magical scenes! You must purchase your ticket in advance to visit the Conservatory!
